Meet Our Leadership Team

Todd Rodgers | Principal, CEO

Todd has 16 years of professional experience in all aspects of multifamily and commercial real estate operations, financing, acquisitions and development. In addition to large scale project management and asset management oversight of multifamily, commercial, and retail assets, he has successfully secured over $750 million in real estate financing and has underwritten and lead or participated in the financial and physical due diligence for over $550 million in multifamily and commercial acquisitions for both private and institutional investors. With his well-rounded experience, spanning across nine states, Todd is able to effectively and efficiently work with owners and investors to responsibly manage, and add value to, both large and small portfolios of real estate assets.

Prior to leading Essential, Todd was an accomplished CFO/COO with solid experience working for large real estate companies including, Bedrock Real Estate Services and Village Green Holding. Todd’s career began in auditing services for Deloitte & Touche.

Aaron Lewis | Principal, COO

At Essential, Aaron develops, trains, and leads the property management teams to achieve best-in-class customer service. Aaron has been in the multifamily industry for over 12 years and has been involved in both commercial and multifamily property and asset management. He has successfully repositioned troubled assets, and led rehabilitation projects for multiple communities throughout the Midwest.

Aaron serves on the Board of Directors for the Detroit Metropolitan Apartment Association and is very involved with the local association. Aaron is an effective, results-oriented leader with a proven track record of developing successful teams and exceeding expectations.

Julie Normand | Controller

Julie has been in the multi-family and commercial property management industry for 9 years. She has held various roles in financial services, including tax accounting and mortgage lending, before starting as a property accountant in the real estate industry. Julie worked her way up and was eventually responsible for overseeing the financials of a 2 billion dollar portfolio. At Essential Julie oversees the accounting department and runs a team of five accountants responsible for overall property accounting and financial reporting. Prior to joining Essential, Julie worked at Village Green and Bedrock Real Estate Services.

Ashley Prieur | Director of Marketing and Business Development

Ashley Prieur is an enthusiastic sales and marketing professional with 8 years of experience in the property management industry. She is skilled in sales training, leasing, digital advertising, social media, and marketing. With the help of face-to-face outreach, she is determined to develop a plan to meet each person on her team's unique needs to strive and will roll her sleeves up and help where she is needed. Throughout her career, Ashley has earned the trust of several leaders in and out of the industry and maintained strong client relationships that continue to generate business. She attributes her success to her ability to listen to customers and put their needs first.

Rochelle Cole | Regional Property Manager

Rochelle is a passionate Regional Property Manager with Essential Property Management. With over 12 years of multifamily and senior living experience, as well as a bachelor's degree in business management and marketing, she possesses the knowledge and drive to lead amazing teams. Rochelle has a dedication to education and growth for herself, her peers and mentees. Her commitment to excellence extends to her role as Secretary on the Detroit Metropolitan Apartment Association's Board of Directors. Rochelle holds philanthropy and DE&I in high regards professionally and personally. Her involvement in programs such as DLP, Melanin in Multifamily, etc. helped to grow her knowledge and understanding relating to important industry topics. Rochelle's exceptional contributions have earned her the prestigious Rising Star award from both her local and state associations, solidifying her status as a dynamic leader in property management.
